Improving disabled access
Accessibility Plans
THE EQUALITY ACT
The Equality Act places an obligation on businesses and service providers to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ for disabled people so they can access the service provider’s goods, facilities and services.
UndEmployers and organisations have a responsibility to make sure that disabled people can access jobs, education and services as easily as non-disabled people. This is known as the ‘duty to make reasonable adjustments’.
SERVICES
An access audit is the easiest and most comprehensive way of making sure you or your business meets the needs of your disabled clients, customers and employees.
We have worked with schools, dental surgeries, GPs, shops, restaurants and other private office spaces to ensure that they are doing all they can to be as inclusive as possible and to prevent a possible legal action against them.
ABOUT US
Welcome to Equality Act Audits.
We are experts in accessibility planning and can assist you in ensuring that you are meeting your obligations under the Equality Act 2010. Having originally started in the education sector, Equality Act Audits has since branched out and advises all businesses on accessibility and their obligations under the Equality Act 2010.
Our aim is to identify obstacles to access, look at the options for removing these, and make clear recommendations to you.
